Every framing in terms of consciousness or experience, every kind of Kantianism, contains a latent pull towards idealism, or its contemporary iteration as simulation theory and its wilder offshoots. That there are things that this cannot account for can never be 'proven' only hinted at or pointed to. Perhaps one such is the way that things in the world look back at you as you look at them (look at may be too weak a term), and in particular the difference between the way that this occurs with living and non-living things.
