Existence is all that is required for ordinary discourse, it is both necessary and sufficient. The notion of being might be invoked as giving underlying coherence to existence claims, but is not necessary and in some cases is actively repudiated. Being does however enter into aesthetic experience and experiences of wonder and numinosity. It points to something beyond existence, a 'thatness' which can be felt but not proven, which forms a point of attunement for individuals. This sense of being is however still tied to phenomenality, takes its cue from it, is, as it were, the phenomenon of phenomenality.  There is a deeper sense of being which reaches into and beyond the very source of any appearance whatsoever. To put it simply, even being as 'thatness' could be the being of dreamed objects to a dreamed subject. The deeper sense of being would not allow of any such reframing, there is no distinction in it of seer and seen. There is the thinking of being in this sense, but whether that thought actually reaches its destination, or whether it is only prosthetic, can only be a question.
