The now as presence, as origin of all reference is a positive component of experiencing. If it appears to be an artefact of ongoingness this is only because it is so easily overlooked - everything that goes into the frame in and of experiencing id better known as 'now'. So the now is put together in one of the primary acts of consciousness, itself without a now. In consideration of a past now it seems that the nows are made, bang, bang, bang, one after another. A now so constructed would fail at exactly what it is meant to do, its form of self-identity could not cohere. There cannot be a succession of nows; the now can only be one, but with a kind of identity that precedes the identity of things. As far as you are concerned it is the interface between the timeless and time, in itself it is unruffled timelessness.
