So, selfness is a fundamental component of reality, of whatever it is that is ultimately real. But what is that? Is it mind? That would be an empty tautology. Is it matter? So a kind of panpsychism? But that relies too much on matter, as if it were already understood. What is matter? It dissolves into fields and these into equations etc. It is equations plus actuality - that the mysterious additive formerly known as substance or being. And it is only there in that elusive but very positive thing, being, that you find selfness, which is by nature not positive at all. Not negative either, but hidden and beyond your dichotomies.
