Whatever you believe about yourself, about your true nature, about the kind of being or thing or event that you are, is never grounded enough to account for the power to have that very belief. That is, the kind of being that you think you are does not include the very power you are exercising in so characterising yourself. This is clumsily put: your being in the world proceeds along the lines of the belief that you have about yourself. The content of that belief is a thought and a thought cannot be the thinker of itself. That which experiences has no beliefs, it only projects thoughts together with a thinker on the same plane of projection. The mechanism of thinking (thought) mind, thinker) is a flat projection of an illusory reality; if there were a simulation this would be the prime example.
