'If you look closely you will see that consciousness is made up of discrete monadic moments, a stream with no underlying continuity etc.' This kind of view is only possible if time is regarded as an objective medium in which consciousness takes place, but this makes no sense on the basis of this very view. A similar logic applies to all 'no self' views. Such inquiries are not yet asking the right question; the key is not aligned with the lock.
