The two levels of idealism, critical and absolute. In critical idealism you are the transparent eye - but every eye has a blindspot. Consciousness abhors a blindspot and reverses it and so to the absolute... But critical idealism is zen-like; it is when you finally renounce absolute idealism, absolutely. It is the metaphor of transparency that misleads. Whoever said that consciousness, that this experiencing here and now, has anything to do with transparency, or with reference or with representation?
