Individual consciousness is a fragment of individual soul as that is a fragment of collective soul and so on. At each level there is an experiencer ever larger and less personal. If it were to stop somewhere the result would be absurdity, just as the existential version of absurdity results from seeing the end as at the first level of transcendence. But absurdity is itself absurd since it forecloses transcendence in the name of an idea arisen at the prior level. Nothing can be proven by this logic, there being no way forward but that of surrender.
