Behind every state that can be described there is one that cannot be described. A state is never what it is but neither is it the expression of anything else. That there is nothing behind it is exactly what is behind it. Another way of saying this is that there are no obstacles because what you experience as obstacle, as impasse, is just the form of you blocked, an idea like any other that contains the myth of its own subject. As if the reality seems to bleed into the representation where it is lost, while all the time it has not moved at all, there being no common ratio between the real and the representation. There is no representation, only presentation imperfectly apprehended. And the imperfection, the apprehension, only have their characterisations as such within and in terms of that supposed doubling. The mirror only exists within the mirror, hence the mirror presents no obstacle. Neither the butterfly nor Chuang-tzu, neither Chuang-tzu nor the butterfly - just you.
