So what you're saying is that the way it comes out, bound in such multiply repeated patterns, is not the only way for it to work, that the stubborn feeling of necessity here, the inherent heaviness and friction of living, is not based on any reality? That on the same basis many different constitutions could unfold, redistributing capacities in better ways. Well, it would be nice to be relieved of all of that, but for now the only thing to do is to follow as closely as you can the structure of this apparent necessity, to trace the beliefs that make it up. What are they made of? What is a belief? How does it do its work? From where does it draw its authority? Most ideas retain a fringe of speculation, they are hypothetical to some degree, you choose them experimentally in order to see what outcome they produce. Such ideas are located at a certain remove from you, but other ideas, the ones in question here seem to pass through your very centre, or behind the stage of attention. They run in a circuit of confirmation and this circuit is tangled up in in the inescapable certainty of your finite existence. These are the ones you wish to disentangle and you can as well try to do so by undoing that strange heart-core of reality which you take to be yourself.
