You are will, you act and are aware of acting of an outcome or are prevented from acting and feel. Your awareness in either case is a form of thought, thought inseparable from will, but by the lines along which thought unfolds you ascribe to yourself a prior intention or desire, you temporalise the experience backwards, as f your intention or desire is what caused the experience. Aware again of the slippage between intention (which exists purely in thought) and act you conclude that your will was never free, but this is a category mistake, in applying to will an insight that refers to thought. The freedom of will is outside the imaginary schema of intention leading to action.
