Every universal that is realised is also realised in a concrete universal, a distinguished and superlatively particular instance which validates its universality without compromising its singularity. This, of course is not the most universal of instances, but somehow the most extreme and transgressive of them. In the same way, anything that has an imposing singularity, not resting on any other, is the concrete universal for a universal that is already at work, without perhaps ever having been discovered.
