The development which replaces the gods and spirts of animated nature with impersonal forces extends into the nature of experience, replacing self and soul with impersonal processes arising within some greater cosmology or theory of everything. At some point a reverse movement needs to supervene that re-personalises, re-animates the imagined impersonal processes returning them to the context against which they were first posited.
