It's not an accumulation of events, prehensions or atoms of sentience, that make up a self, but the 'space' in which they have their being, the space from which they derive their being. In the same way, as distinct from this, what is meant by the self in the ordinary way is not the narrative that strings together the diverse points of awareness so that they become self-awareness, but the function that edits such narratives.
