Transient experiences that seem to overturn or destroy your semblances of equanimity do not do so out of their own 'intent', but only in terms of the reception which they are afforded. They carry with them obscure and rare gifts which they will not yield but to the host who can welcome them without reserve. In these gifts lies the opportunity to replace a portion of semblance with a modicum of a reality that requires no further support or attention.
