The world is given and is constructed in the mind. These are two overlapping phases of experiencing, and both are known as such. They are separable but not separated, and indeed the distinction between them is made b a further exercise of the mind. The world as given is assumed to be the world constructed, but by another mind, not your own, but since it also constructs you, the experiencer, the idea of direct realisation can never be avoided. You can neither rest in your finitude nor flee to the infinite.
