Physical reality seems to dissolve into mathematics and if this relationship is ontological then it becomes a form of idealism. Does mind or consciousness also find it source in mathematics and not, as it seems to many, in computation? The idealist/materialist distinction is another expression of the distinction between mathematics and computation. Which is more originary? And what could the relation of consciousness and mathematics be? Doesn't it have something to do with the nature of infinity, the point of overlap between the two? Physically, this might be the question of whether there is such a matter as true randomness.
