Time as we think we know it an isotropic medium in which events take place and whose space-like character corresponds to the mathematical
t, is a pure abstraction. What is experienced is primarily historical time which has no dimensions and cannot repeat or re-start. But we think of events as emerging in the former version of time, therefore they too are fictional, and also the substitutable 'things' which populate and define them.
