The sense that at any time you are only allowing a thin wedge of your self to be illuminated in consciousness, and that somehow at some level, this is a choice or chosen compromise of motives. Because what you also want and anticipate is that the entire integrated thing is illuminated, becomes its own light. For that to happen there would need to be no fear, no safety rail, since any such integral self would necessarily embrace birth and death, your beginning and end.
