That out of which the experiencing arises must be more of experiencing than experiencing and yet cannot itself be experiencing. Say that consciousness with no centre has no features in common with centred consciousness, which is a fringe of openness and unknowing between two poles of unquestionable, unquestioning certitude, sometimes called life and death, presence and absence, emptiness and fulness, being and non-being.
