The mind knows only the process of symbols and images and in this way it dates and places itself in a web of histories. These define limits which it cannot cross, the limits being itself as attributed in this web, its embodiment. What is unexpected is that these limits are themselves processes of symbols and images. The anomalous identity of the now which cannot be resolved is the thing which upsets the near perfection of this display. It is in relation to this that everything else reveals itself as appearance.
