The only universals are concrete universals. In a world ordered by laws, causes, by co-dependent origination or sufficient reason, types in a simulation, or anything else you care to call it, what matters is the kinds of the things that are - every concrete is a universal, without prejudice to its individuality or this-ness - quiddities and haecceity both. And if you abandon phenomenology for action, nothing real but in act, and for the sheer glory of the act, you return to consciousness and so to phenomenality by the royal road. What else could it be for, these millennia of growth and metamorphosis but to go on endlessly, leaving all this necessary confusion far behind.
