The word 'now' is from and old root word nu, and possibly a cognate of 'new'. What we see, however, is that it begins with a 'no' (while German equivalent 'Jetzt' could be said to begin with a 'ja', a yes.) Or you might note that it has a hole in the middle, a zen-like empty circle, or a tunnel with some scribbles at the rim. What is a 'w' but a pure scribble? And 'n' for name. Denying name and form and leaping into the void. Or you might choose to see the last two letters as 'ow!', pure sharp sensation. All of this by contrast to the strange French take, 'maintenant' - a hand holding on, three syllables grasping like the bones in your fingers. The dimensions of the dimensionless.
